Keep up the mowing and watering. If the grass has grown
excessively whilst you have been sunning yourself abroad
raise the height of the cut on the lawnmower to 'top' the
grass first before getting back down to the Summer height.
Fill cracks caused by very dry conditions with a mixture
of sharp sand and soil.
